In another attempt to stave off death from digital competition, MTV Networks is going to closely track every second of every MTV-owned video and ad watched across the web, including their videos on MySpace. The network hopes the data will provide a better understanding of the what its audience wants. Originality and innovation will apparently be left to those networks without such data.
